RISC, Inc. – Construction Facility Taking Off

Dallas based wholesaler, RISC, Inc. announced that it’s recently formed sub-contractor’s Liability facility has been a huge success. The facility has been set up to write GL and Umbrella coverage for 14 specialty contractors in both the residential and commercial fields.

President of RISC, Bill Staub, states that although they are currently writing between $1.5 million to $2 million in new premium a month, that “we have just scratched the surface of this market.” “With our territory running from Louisiana north to Canada and west, the long range potential for this program is simply astounding” according to Mr. Staub.

Bob Leonhart and Darwin Lucas, Senior Vice President’s of the Programs Department for RISC agree. Mr. Leonhart states that “in addition to General Liability and Umbrella, we’ve expanded the program for 2005 to include Workers’ Compensation and Automobile coverage. These added lines make us more desirable to retail agencies and insured’s alike.”

Mr. Lucas, states “our ability to use an exposure basis of payroll for these classes of business has given our agents a more accurate way to base their premiums. We have seen receipts escalating due to the cost of goods increasing monthly, and our clients have all agreed that using a payroll basis of rating is more cost effective. As a result, these competitively priced programs continue to increase our market share in these classes.”

For further information on this program you can visit the Program section of this website or call 1-800-725-7472 and ask for either Mr. Lucas or Mr. Leonhart.
